Job Description
Job Summary:
mPulse is seeking a Lead QA Engineer to lead quality assurance efforts across our web-based applications. This role is responsible for guiding a team of QA engineers, ensuring high-quality product delivery, and driving testing strategy across new features, enhancements, and bug fixes. The ideal candidate will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Customer Service, and QA leadership to ensure efficient and effective testing processes while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.Duties/Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor QA team members, providing coaching on testing processes, tools, and best practices Assign and prioritize work across the QA team to ensure timely delivery Develop, document, execute, and maintain test plans and test cases for web-based applications Identify, document, and track defects; validate fixes to ensure resolution without introducing new issues Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues across multiple environments Participate in test planning, test case reviews, and release validation activities Track and report on team performance metrics and quality indicators Support escalated issue resolution and assist in driving testing initiatives Contribute to process improvements across QA workflows and testing strategies Ensure adherence to organizational processes, standards, and SDLC practices Complete special projects and additional duties as assignedSkills/Abilities/Experience:
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and strategies, including CI/CD, boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, and decision tables Experience with functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing Familiarity with SDLC processes and tools such as Jira, GitLab, or similar platforms Working knowledge of T-SQL queries Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban) Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, Java, and EDI concepts Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues independently Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Occasional off-hours, evenings, or weekend work may be required Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teamsMinimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field, or equivalent work experience 2+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing Experience working with web-based applications and QA processes Preferred Experience in healthcare or regulated environments Experience leading or mentoring QA team members Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworksPhysical Requirements:
Ability to stand and sit for extended period of time. Ability to lift 10 lbs. weight.
