ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
: Lead APQP activities for all products in the prototype, pre-launch, and production phases of manufacturing; update APQP activities to ensure compliance to
IATF/ISO
standards Review and update APQP, CAR, risk mitigation, and SPC data and assignments. Support new projects and prototype activities Provide training on and implementation of Statistical Process Control (SPC), root causes analysis, gauging techniques, quality tools, etc. Monitor process capability that meets customers' requirements Facilitate Six Sigma quality projects and Lean, Kaizen continuous improvement projects Perform MSA gage studies, process capabilities studies Maintain PFMEAs & PCPs PPAP submittals Quote new business opportunities with regards to the quality function
SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS
Assist with corrective action activities for both internal and external customers Produce a positive trend in scrap reduction activities Investigate alternative methods of gauging for the new demands on tighter tolerances Layered Audits Internal Audits Lead/support a continuous improvement effort Review customer supplied data (layouts, capabilities, etc) Support various gage programming activities (CMM, Formscan, etc) Update and maintain SPC database Support supplier development activities
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to actively move through office space to work with staff Vision must be correctable to allow reading/viewing of documents and computer screen Hearing must be correctable to allow understanding of instructions and communication with others Mobility and coordination must allow for required tasks to be completed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
BA or BS with a statistical background or equivalent work experience Experience with 8 Discipline Correction Action, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and Six Sigma, Lean, Statistical Process Control, Mini Tab Software. Background in
IATF/ISO
standards preferred
