Job:

Elgin Die Mold is looking for a 1st shift Quality Engineer to join our Quality Assurance Team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that products meet our customers' quality and safety expectations. This is a permanent, full-time position, offering a competitive pay and benefits package.

Pay:

$80,000

Automotive industry background. Experience with corrective actions/CAPA's. Experience with customer complaints. Experience with

IATF 16949

quality systems and compliance requirements.

Description of Duties:

Manage and monitor quality system. Answer and respond to all customer issues. Create nonconformance reports and quarantine materials as needed. Maintain, update, and monitor job documentation files. Complete SPC files and send to customers when needed. Perform internal audits. Prepare and lead audits of our quality system. Coordinate the corrective action process. Audit and communicate with external vendors and suppliers as needed to ensure quality product is received. Interact with production personnel on nonconformance issues. Perform dock audits when needed. Other duties as directed by supervisor.

Job Tasks:

Perform system audits as needed. Setup SPC files in system. Setup new Job files. Generate monthly NR report. Gauge R&R studies. Assist layout technician as required. Evaluate customer returns. Perform audits when required.
