Full-Time, Onsite Overview Our client is a well-established precision manufacturing company seeking a Quality Engineer to support both internal operations and external customer quality requirements. This role is highly visible and collaborative, working closely with plant leadership, production teams, and customers to resolve quality issues, drive corrective actions, and ensure compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate is hands-on, analytical, and comfortable spending time on the shop floor while also managing documentation, audits, and customer-facing quality initiatives. Key Responsibilities Support customer complaints, returns, and 8D corrective actions, ensuring timely root-cause analysis and closure Develop, implement, and maintain quality systems to ensure compliance with applicable standards Verify and support the use of SPC and process controls; train and develop operators as needed Partner with plant management and production teams to resolve internal and external quality issues Conduct internal quality system audits Maintain and support documentation related toISO / IATF / SPC
/ compliance requirements Interface with Quality Inspection on PPAP preparation and submissions Review, track, and disposition non-conforming materials and products Support employee training on quality policies and procedures Develop and maintain customer-specific requirements, including FMEA, PFMEA, and process flow charts Perform additional duties as assigned to support continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on quality experience Experience in a precision machined metals manufacturing environment strongly preferred Working knowledge of ISO, IATF, SPC, and quality compliance standards Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills Ability to communicate effectively with customers, plant leadership, and shop floor personnel Solid technical writing and documentation skills Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously Work Environment & Physical Requirements Combination of office and manufacturing floor environment Exposure to machine noise and lubrication oils during shop floor activities Light physical activity, including walking and standing Frequent interaction with production employees Heavy customer contact and occasional overnight travel to customer sites Extensive time spent supporting and guiding production teams on the shop floor Why This Role?
