This position will perform a variety of inspection checks to parts and textiles using standardized inspection criteria. Participates in the implementation of departmental goals and objectives, while supporting the mission of our customer. This is a 1st shift position working Monday through Friday 6:00am-2:30pm and the pay rate is $17.00/hr.

Position Summary:

Performs a variety of inspection checks to parts and textiles using standardized inspection criteria. Participates in the implementation of departmental goals and objectives, while supporting the mission of Moriden America.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Inspects a variety of parts and textiles for conformance to accepted standards. Records the results of inspection data for management review. Prepares and conditions test samples according to test specifications. Performs material testing according to test specifications. Sorts and reworks parts as needed. Reports non-conforming material to supervisor in a timely manner. Supports production with acceptance criteria and in-process checks. Cleans and maintains work area. Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Experience:

Ability to use basic measurement tools including scales and rulers. Can visually inspect color swatches for acceptance to a standard color sample. Requires passing score on Munsell Color Test. Ability to read and follow written and verbal work instructions and safety rules. Reliable attendance and flexibility to work overtime as needed. Ability to multi-task. Team oriented. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Ability to bend, twist, reach and climb frequently. Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time. Must be able to work overtime work as requested. Must be able to stand on a continuous basis as well as Lift, bend, twist, and reach on a repeated basis. Must be able to lift 35lbs occasionally.
