Plymouth, MI (AASA) Position Summary This position will function to provide support to the Quality department, is responsible for daily supervision of OE Technicians, and will perform Kaizen and maintenance request duties. This position will also plan, implement, and follow-up on countermeasures toward company targets, prepare charts and reports, and maintain open communication with workforce and Management Team. Position Responsibilities The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position: Oversee investigations and vision approvals and request cores for investigation. Create investigation and daily output report. Continually update training matrix and schedule training as required. Dyno testing and vision main cause entry. Prepare weekly efficiency reports and develop Kaizen for efficiency improvements. Maintain a safe and clean work environment and maintain quality in product and performance. Assign, train and oversee daily work of investigators, monitor and evaluate performance. Prepare absence reports and discipline as necessary according to established guidelines and/or in consultation with higher levels of Management Team. Other tasks and duties as assigned. Required Skills and AbilitiesEssential Skills and Experience:
Knowledge of investigation process and of quality and investigation documents and equipment. Understanding of the function of related automatic transmissions: assembly & reassembly, apply charts. Ability to operate and understand the results from the following equipment:FR/FF/VB
tester, shop equipment. Strong planning, communication and organizational skills. Leadership training and ability. Beneficial Skills and Experience Computer Proficient Problem Solving Skills Detail Oriented Education/Training/Certifications Associates Degree Preferred Travel Requirements Approximately up to 15%. Must be willing and available to travel to such locations and with such frequency as is necessary and desirable to meet business needs. Work Environment Requirements With reasonable accommodation: Must be able to operate a personal computer, telephone, and other office equipment. Must perform job duties onsite, when necessary, except those duties that are customarily or by their nature performed offsite (for example, offsite customer visits). Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to work on multiple assignments at once, and complete assignments within deadline and budget (if applicable) with satisfactory quality. Must be able to operate as an effective team member. Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all company safety policies. Attendance/Work Hour Requirements Must maintain an acceptable attendance record.
