Quality Technician

Pay Rate:

$21-$28/hr (Level 1 to Level 2)

Schedule:

M-F 7am-3:30pm

Job Summary:

The position involves handling, inspecting, and cleaning optical glass materials, ensuring accuracy and quality.

Responsibilities:

Safely handle and store raw materials, including optical glass blanks, lenses, and other optical elements. Inspect optical glass for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications. Preparing and thoroughly cleaning all materials according to specifications Verify the accuracy and quality of cut lenses and optical elements using precision instruments. Maintain accurate records of production metrics, quality checks, and equipment performance. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Collaborate with the production team to streamline workflows and improve efficiency. Troubleshoot minor issues on cutting equipment and perform basic maintenance.

Skills:

Knowledge of optical glass materials and their properties. Proficiency in quality inspections Proficiency in optical cleaning Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Familiarity with precision instruments and measurement tools

Education:

Associate or Bachelor s Degree in materials science, chemistry metallurgy or physics is desirable, not required If interested apply today!
