Quality Technician Overview:
As a Quality Technician , you will play a critical role in ensuring that our production processes consistently meet customer requirements and
ISO 9001
standards. This position is hands-on and collaborative, working closely with cross-functional teams to maintain product integrity, resolve quality issues, and drive continuous improvement. If you are detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about quality, this is an excellent opportunity to make an impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection & Validation:
Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) , incoming product inspections , and new product launch inspections . Validate parts and ensure conformance to specifications.
Quality Support & Issue Resolution:
Partner with production teams to address quality concerns and develop effective reaction plans. Evaluate and provide disposition for nonconforming material (NCM) .
Process Ownership:
Manage inspection processes, ensuring proper tools, equipment calibration, and operator training. Conduct manufacturing process audits to verify compliance with procedures.
Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain
ISO 9001
documentation and support corrective actions. Update and develop work instructions for plant-wide use.
Continuous Improvement:
Collaborate on corrective action implementation and improvement initiatives. Support Material Review Board (MRB) processes and training programs for new employees.
Equipment & Calibration:
Perform calibration checks and maintain certifications for registered equipment per ISO standards.
Requirements:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in quality preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience in quality assurance or manufacturing environment. Familiarity with
ISO 9001
standards and auditing processes.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Proficient in documentation and data entry systems.
Other:
Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Qualifications:
Experience:
2-5 years of Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment. ASQC certifications a plus.
Technical Skills:
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications . Proficient in using mechanical inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.). Experience supporting and maintaining manufacturing inspection systems. Ability to lead and support an
ISO 9001
quality system for a manufacturing operation. Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of sheet metal fabrication, painting, and assembly processes (preferred).
Analytical & Organizational Skills:
Ability to analyze quality data, identify problem areas, and assist in resolving manufacturing process issues. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Technology & Communication:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word). Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with small and large groups.
