Job Description Summary:
1. Assess, prioritize, and triage patient issues 2. Provide help with symptom management for patients undergoing radiation therapy for cancer 3. Work closely with other specialty practices to coordinate care 4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team, serving as a resource for staff and as an advocate for patients 5. Assist department Clinical Nurse Specialist with Quality Improvement projects
Job Requirements, Prerequisites and Essential Functions:
EDUCATION
• Sufficient education to obtain a valid California RN license • BSN preferred
EXPERIENCE
• At least 3 years of Oncology experience required • Symptom management experience required
LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATIONS
Registered Nurse Required at hire Basic Life Support Required at hire Integrative Agitation Management (IAM) Required within 30 days of hire
PREREQUISITE SKILLS 1.
Advanced organizational skills and ability to prioritize competing demands 2. Current knowledge of common cancers and their treatments, including chemotherapies given for diagnoses, such as breast, prostate, lung, brain, and head & neck cancers 3. Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with clinical and administrative colleagues 4. Excellent communication skills and ability to relay complex medical information to patients at the appropriate level 5. Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills

Compensation:
The posted pay range complies with applicable law and reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role. Individual pay is set by skills, experience, qualifications, and internal/market equity, consistent with MarinHealth's compensation philosophy. Positions covered by collective bargaining agreements are governed by those agreements.
