Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our vibrant general dental practice. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a wide range of dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies to ensure seamless patient care. Take and develop high-quality X-ray images while adhering to infection control and aseptic techniques. Manage medical documentation accurately, including medical records, medical coding, and documentation in Dentrix. Monitor vital signs and assist with pediatric dentistry procedures when needed. Maintain strict infection control protocols and ensure all equipment is sterilized according to OSHA standards. Support front desk staff by managing patient flow, updating medical history, and assisting with appointment scheduling using EMR systems like Epic or Dentrix. Demonstrate proficiency in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology to facilitate effective communication within the team. Operate advanced dental technology such as 3D scanners and medical imaging devices for comprehensive diagnostics. Uphold HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy at all times while ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with current licensure. Proven experience working in a general dentistry setting in a high volume office and experience in temp crown/ and Crown and Bridge is required. Strong knowledge of dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, aseptic technique, and infection control practices. Experience with Dentrix is highly desirable. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining safety standards. Excellent understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Familiarity with dental imaging equipment including 3D scanners and other medical imaging tools. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation requirements for compliance purposes. Effective communication skills as a dental receptionist or front desk support are advantageous. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
