Receiving Clerk Job Description Job Title Receiving Clerk Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Receiving Clerk to manage incoming shipments and inventory. The Receiving Clerk will verify deliveries, inspect goods for damage, maintain accurate records, and coordinate with warehouse and purchasing teams to ensure efficient inventory operations. Key Responsibilities Receive and unload incoming shipments Verify quantities and compare shipments against purchase orders and invoices Inspect products for damage or defects Label and organize inventory in designated storage areas Enter shipment and inventory data into computer systems Maintain accurate receiving logs and records Communicate discrepancies or shortages to supervisors or vendors Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified) Follow workplace safety procedures and company policies Assist with inventory counts and warehouse organization Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Basic math and computer skills Attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to lift and move heavy packages Good communication and teamwork abilities Previous warehouse or receiving experience preferred Preferred Skills Experience with inventory management software Forklift certification Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures Time management and multitasking abilities Work Environment Warehouse, retail stockroom, or distribution center setting May require standing for long periods Frequent lifting, bending, and moving materials

Pay:

$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
