Job Summary:

Sprain Brook Manor, a 120-bed skilled Nursing Facility in Westchester, NY, is seeking a full or part-time Recreation Assistant to join our team. As a Recreation Assistant, you will play a vital role in planning, implementing, and recording the progress of recreation programs for our geriatric population. We are looking for a positive and energetic individual who enjoys bringing joy into people's lives.

Responsibilities:

Plan, implement, and record progress of recreation programs for our geriatric population Develop and maintain effective relationships with residents, families, and staff Create and lead recreational activities, such as games, crafts, and social events Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to design and implement therapy programs Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress Participate in resident assessments and develop individualized recreation plans

Requirements:

Minimum Education:

High School Diploma Minimum Experience:

1-3 years of direct or related experience

Preferred Education:

Associate's degree in Recreation or related field
