• Full-time Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Recreation Director to lead engaging activities and programs that enhance the quality of life for residents in an active adult community.

In this vital role, you will design, coordinate, and oversee a diverse range of recreational activities tailored to meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents. Your enthusiasm and creativity will foster a vibrant community atmosphere, promote wellness, and support residents' independence. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, experience in senior care, and a passion for enriching lives through meaningful recreation. Qualifications Proven experience in event planning within senior living or assisted living environments; experience in nursing homes or long-term care facilities is highly desirable Strong communication skills to effectively engage residents, families, and team members Ability to manage schedules efficiently while adapting to changing resident needs Knowledge of office procedures and equipment, including PC for word processing and special applications/software, copier, calculator, printer & fax machine Maintain good rapport with residents, Community Manager and Administrative Staff, Entertainment Committee and Board of Trustees This is a salaried exempt position and additional evening/weekend hours necessary.
