Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining refrigeration systems, HVAC units, and related mechanical equipment across various facilities. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and safety of refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Duties Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain refrigeration systems, including ammonia refrigeration and HVAC/R equipment. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs. Perform routine inspections of refrigeration units, air conditioning systems, boilers, plumbing fixtures, and mechanical components to ensure proper operation. Conduct field service visits to diagnose problems on-site, providing prompt solutions to minimize downtime. Use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment to repair electrical circuits and mechanical parts. Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports of all maintenance activities performed. Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations during all maintenance procedures. Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician specializing in refrigeration, HVAC, or property maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair, welding, plumbing, and boiler systems. Ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans accurately. Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems and HVAC/R technology is highly desirable. Experience with appliance repair, field service operations, and property maintenance tasks. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating a driver vehicle preferred. Proficiency with diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; ability to perform electrical troubleshooting effectively. Knowledge of welding techniques and safety procedures related to equipment repair.
