Located two miles north of Sonora in the gold country of the Sierra Nevada Foothills, Columbia Elementary School relocated in-1936 when a new school building was constructed on Parrotts Ferry Road. Over the years the campus has expanded to meet the needs of the growing district. In 2007, the district completed the construction of 19 state-of-the-art classrooms and an Education, Sports, and Performing Arts Complex. Columbia Elementary focuses on the success of the whole child. The parents, staff, and students focus on creating unique learning opportunities to ensure students leave our school ready for high school and beyond. Columbia Elementary enjoys the support of our parents and community members. The community surrounding the school is made up of a variety of businesses and private homes. Job Summary Job Summary Temporary Summer Custodian (Short-Term) To perform a variety of cleaning and custodial functions at assigned District site(s); to maintain safe and sanitary facilities and related sites as assigned; and to function as a cooperative and productive team member. Dates for this position will be from June 8, 2026

• Up to one year of custodian or similar cleaning duties is desirable
• Good work history, demonstrating verifiable reliability, responsibility and good work habits
• Valid First Aide Certificate is desirable
• Resume is recommended but not required
• Applicant must be able to pass pre-employment physical upon hire (High School Students, minors from ages 14-17), a Current Work Permit is Required.
