Registered Behavior Technician Gainesville, GA 30506 From $18 an hour - Part-time, Full-time From $18 an hour - Part-time, Full-time Overview Join our dynamic team as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and individuals with developmental disabilities. In this vital role, you will implement evidence-based behavioral interventions under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). Your energy, compassion, and dedication will help foster growth, independence, and improved quality of life for those you serve. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in behavioral health, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and special education within a supportive environment committed to professional growth. Duties Deliver individualized behavioral therapy sessions based on detailed care plans developed by BCBAs, utilizing principles of applied behavior analysis to promote positive behaviors. Collect accurate data during sessions to monitor progress and inform ongoing treatment strategies. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and other essential self-care tasks. Support clients in developing communication skills through teaching techniques tailored to their needs. Maintain thorough documentation of session notes, progress reports, and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies. Collaborate with team members to update and implement care plans that align with each client's goals and needs. Foster a safe, engaging environment that encourages learning, growth, and positive behavior management. Experience Prior experience working with children or individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and behavior management strategies is highly desirable. Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation practices, and HIPAA compliance ensures confidentiality and professionalism. Strong communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, educators, and healthcare professionals. Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while demonstrating patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for teaching and patient care. Experience in special education or related fields enhances your ability to support diverse learning needs.
