Job Description

Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Make a real difference in the lives of students by providing vital behavioral support in an educational environment. This contract opportunity is located near Hayward, CA, and seeks a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with a passion for supporting positive student outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required Previous experience working with children or youth with autism spectrum disorder or behavioral challenges preferred Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and techniques Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff, students, and families Ability to follow behavior intervention plans with consistency and accuracy Reliable, organized, and committed to maintaining student confidentiality
Key Responsibilities:
Implement individualized behavior intervention plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) Collect and document data on student behavior and progress as instructed Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to foster consistent support across environments Support students in classroom, small-group, and 1:1 settings as needed Teach and reinforce positive behaviors, coping strategies, and social skills Respond to challenging behaviors promptly using trained and appropriate strategies This position offers a rewarding opportunity to directly impact student achievement while further developing your professional expertise.
