School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

In this contract-based, full-time position (30 hours per week) based near Hayward, you'll provide essential 1:1 care for medically fragile students across various campuses. As an itinerant LVN, your expertise will help create a secure and nurturing school experience for students aged 4 to 22.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

Current and valid LPN/LVN license in California Prior experience in school settings and providing care for children or adolescents Proficiency with gastronomy, bladder catheterization, diabetes care (insulin, CGM, carb counting), management of hypo/hyperglycemia Skilled in administering emergency medications such as EpiPens and Benadryl Familiarity with ASD, developmental delays, seizure protocols, and individualized health plans Strong communication for collaboration with staff, students, and families Bilingual Spanish skills a plus but not required

Your Role Will Include:

Delivering 1:1 direct care to medically fragile students during school hours Rotating between different campuses and students as needed Implementing and reviewing all health and seizure plans; ensuring accurate, up-to-date documentation Training staff on medical procedures and protocols to ensure student safety Building rapport with students and parents to facilitate care and address concerns Remaining on call for urgent health needs that may arise Supporting students' access to their educational programs through skilled nursing interventions Take your career further while making a difference daily in the educational community.
