Job Description

Category Schools - RBT - Registered Behavior Technician Job Type Contract Advance your career as an on-site Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) supporting students and educational teams in a dynamic school environment near Clayton, NC. This full-time, contract opportunity runs from August 24, 2026, through June 9, 2027, providing meaningful impact and professional growth. Interviews are open now, though the selection process may take additional time while the budget is finalized. In this role, you will work collaboratively with educators and student support staff to implement evidence-based behavioral interventions, focusing on promoting positive behaviors and supporting students' success in academic and social settings. Flexibility is essential, as school assignments and caseload specifics will be confirmed as the upcoming academic year approaches.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) national certification is required at the time of hire Experience working with children or adolescents in educational settings is highly valued Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset to effectively partner with teachers, families, and other professionals Ability to implement behavior intervention plans with fidelity, document student progress, and adapt to the unique needs of the classroom Exceptional organizational and time management skills for balancing multiple priorities
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver one-on-one and group behavioral support under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Collect and record data to support individualized student programs and monitor progress Assist in developing positive classroom environments and strategies to help all students thrive Collaborate closely with school-based teams to promote carryover of behavioral strategies across settings Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical guidelines as an RBT to start a rewarding school-based RBT assignment. Gain valuable experience, collaborate with passionate educators, and help students reach their full potential in the upcoming school year!
