Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including general dentistry Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, maintaining aseptic technique and infection control standards Take dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Conduct vital signs assessments and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to infection control protocols and OSHA standards Skills Proficiency with EMR systems like Dentrix for managing medical records and documentation Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental procedures Experience with chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry for efficiency and patient comfort Ability to operate X-ray machines safely while adhering to radiation safety guidelines Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and caring for pediatric patients effectively Knowledge of infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with patients, team members, and external providers Ability to adapt quickly to new technology platforms like Dentrix for seamless workflow management Join us as a Registered Dental Assistant where your skills will directly impact patient experiences while advancing your career in a vibrant healthcare environment.
