Dedicated paid holidays and paid time off! Patient start time is 8:30am. 1 hour for lunch.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, excellent clinical skills, and a thorough understanding of dental procedures and infection control protocols. As a vital member of our practice, the Dental Hygienist will be responsible for providing comprehensive oral health services, educating patients on dental hygiene practices, and supporting the overall efficiency of the dental office. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering exceptional patient experiences and maintaining the highest standards of dental care. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct initial patient assessments by reviewing medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure and pulse. Assist with dental procedures by preparing treatment areas and providing chairside support during various treatments. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, dietary considerations, and preventive care strategies. Take and develop dental radiographs (medical imaging) while ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control standards. Maintain accurate documentation of patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and privacy. Support infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments, managing medical records securely, and maintaining a clean clinical environment. Collaborate with dentists and other team members to develop personalized treatment plans for pediatric dentistry cases when applicable. Stay current with advancements in dental terminology, medical coding, and best practices in dental hygiene. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to perform dental hygiene procedures. Proven experience working in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments; prior dental office experience is preferred. Proficiency in using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and record keeping. Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques. Familiarity with medical imaging techniques relevant to dental diagnostics. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse patient populations, including pediatrics. Ability to perform chairside assisting tasks efficiently within a four-handed dentistry setup when necessary. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical records management and patient confidentiality. Demonstrated understanding of medical coding processes related to dental procedures for accurate documentation.
