Registered Dental Hygienist to join our phenomenal team. The Star Dental Group is a private practice, one doc, one location, dental practice that provides exceptional, honest care. Job Description:

Promotes dental health by examining each patient's oral health, completing dental prophylaxis, taking x-rays as needed and effectively communicate findings to dentist. Prepares treatment room for patient by adhering to prescribed procedures and protocols. Prepares patient for dental hygiene treatment by welcoming, soothing, seating, and draping patient. Maintains instrumentation for dental hygiene treatment by sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting instruments. Completes dental prophylaxis by cleaning deposits and stains from teeth and from beneath gum margins. Locates periodontal disease and to assess levels of recession by using probes and taking x-rays, as needed Arrests dental decay by applying fluorides and other cavity- preventing agents. Document treatment plans and care performed on patients Educates patients on how to care for their teeth with good oral hygiene, including proper brushing and flossing Documents dental hygiene services by recording vital signs and medical and dental histories and charting in patient records.

Good patient hand off:

communicates effectively with doc and with office manager about next appointments and services performed. Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. Stocks hygiene rooms with supplies and notifies the doctor if dental supplies inventory is running low. Dental Hygienist Qualifications /

Work Hours:

Monday:

8AM- 5PM (1 hr lunch from 12-1PM)

Friday:

9AM to 1PM Two Saturdays per month: 8AM to 12

PM How We Practice:

One hour allotted per routine hygiene patient. All PPE provided, including lab coat All instruments and materials provided (not including loops). Easy going doctor and friendly staff to support your development Education /

Licensing Requirements:

Must have an active RDH license in the state of NJ Must have a current CPR certification 3+ years experience in private dental practice preferred

Pay:

$62.00 - $67.00 per hour Expected hours: 12.0 - 16.0 per week
