Full-time Community Assisted Living Residential Services Position:
Developmental Disabilities Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Summary As a Developmental Disabilities RN at Community Assisted Living you will provide nursing oversight to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a community based setting. This position will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, compassionate, and person

Key Employment Responsibilities Provide state certified instructional medication delegation in-person class trainings, guidance, and nursing oversight to direct care staff as needed Coordinate medication delegation administration implementation/changes to direct care staff by safely monitoring the effectiveness and monitor any/all reported side effects to physicians as needed Promote health, wellness, and preventive care for all individuals with developmental disabilities Coordinate ongoing medical/psychological care with physicians, therapists, and direct care staff as needed Schedule and monitor followup/routine/specialized medical appointments as needed Working together with the agency pharmacy for medication refills and new physican orders Checking off all physician prescribed medication bubble packs deliveries/MAR's from pharmacy couriers to agency administrative offices before sending out to residential homes Conduct health care assessments per the Ohio Revised Code for level of care as needed Develop, implement, and revise individual tasks duties/staff responsibilities per the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities Individual Service Plan Monitor and document changes in individual health care by completing progress notes and incident reports Maintain agency documentation standards for monthly medication MAR's, individual medical charting, and patient information management data entry in Microsoft Office Maintain a safe environment adhering to all current laws of regulatory compliance standards of the Ohio Revised Code for the practice of nursing tasks and medication delegation Maintain infection control by monitoring and ordering all PPE Monitor and maintain quality assurance standards for governmental audits Qualifications/ Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited college registered nuring program
  • Active Registered Nursing License (RN) in Ohio
  • Experience in developmental disabilities, home health, behavioral health, or long term care settings
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel between residential sites as needed (company vehicle is provided during work hours as needed)
  • Strong communication, clinical judgement, and organizational skills for interdisciplinary team meetings
  • Applicant must pass a State of Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation background check and meet all Community Assisted Living's employment criteria for the safe delivery of healthcare
  • Strong computer literacy with the ability to troubleshoot basic technical issues
  • Technically proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and electronic health records (EHR's) Compensation & Benefits
