Long-Term Care (LTC) / Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Position Overview The Registered Nurse
  • Nurse Practice Educator (RNNPE) in a Skilled Nursing Facility is responsible for delivering clinical education, staff development, and ongoing professional training for nursing personnel.
This role ensures high standards of patient-centered care by strengthening clinical competency, supporting regulatory compliance, and promoting evidence-based nursing practices. The RNNPE works closely with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to enhance staff performance, improve resident outcomes, and maintain compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations. Primary Responsibilities Develop and conduct orientation programs and ongoing education for nursing staff Provide hands-on clinical training and competency validation for RNs, LPNs, and CNAs Educate staff on facility policies, procedures, infection control protocols, and regulatory standards Assess staff performance and identify educational needs and skill development opportunities Support implementation of evidence-based nursing practices and quality improvement initiatives Mentor and guide nursing staff to enhance clinical decision-making and professional growth Collaborate with leadership to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards Maintain accurate documentation of training activities, competencies, and certifications Participate in audits, surveys, and performance improvement initiatives related to clinical education Promote a safe, efficient, and resident-focused care environment through continuous staff development Required Qualifications Education Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program Bachelor's degree preferred Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration is a plus Licensure / Certification Active Registered Nurse (RN) License
