Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN ) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in a residential program. This role focuses on clinical oversight, care coordination, and OPWDD compliance across multiple group homes in the Pleasant Valley area. This is an excellent opportunity for RNs looking to move into a case management and oversight role, with less focus on bedside work. New grads and nurses new to OPWDD are welcome, training is provided.
What You'll Do:
Provide clinical oversight and nursing support for routine and urgent medical needs Coordinate care with physicians, pharmacies, and healthcare providers Ensure compliance with OPWDD regulations, medication protocols, and documentation standards Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records Conduct nursing assessments and participate in interdisciplinary care planning Train and support DSP staff on AMAP procedures and health-related protocols Visit assigned residential homes regularly for oversight and support Provide guidance and triage support during on-call rotations
Caseload & Work Structure:
Manage a caseload of multiple residential homes (mix of small and large settings) Work alongside DSP staff and occasional LPN support Primary focus is oversight, coordination, and clinical leadership—not bedside care
On-Call Details:
Rotation approximately once every 2 months (Wednesday-Wednesday) Primarily phone-based triage support In-person response is rare and reserved for emergencies
Qualifications & Requirements:
