Job Description

NEW Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgical Services Opening A respected community hospital in West Texas is seeking an experienced Surgical Services Registered Nurse to join its perioperative team. This full-time opportunity is ideal for an RN with experience in Pre-Op, Circulator, and PACU responsibilities who is passionate about delivering exceptional surgical patient care in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care for surgical patients following nursing and perioperative standards of care
  • Perform Pre-Op, Circulator, and PACU nursing responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee operating room activities during surgical procedures
  • Assist anesthesia providers and support the surgical team as needed
  • Maintain accurate surgical records and documentation
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and sterile field compliance throughout procedures
  • Monitor and maintain surgical equipment and supplies
  • Communicate updates to patient families regarding patient status
Qualifications:
  • Active RN license in Texas or eligibility to obtain licensure
  • Associate degree in Nursing required
  • BSN preferred
  • Previous surgical services or operating room experience preferred
  • Knowledge of perioperative nursing standards and sterile technique
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
