Qualifications and Experience:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois. Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations is preferred. Familiarity with IEPs, 504 plans, and supporting students with medical needs. Excellent communication, organizational, and assessment skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. CPR and First Aid certification required.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct nursing services, including first aid, medication administration, and managing chronic conditions. Conduct health screenings and manage student health records in compliance with school policies. Collaborate with faculty, parents, and community health providers to ensure student well-being. Educate students and staff on health topics and preventive care. Respond to medical emergencies and develop care plans for students with special medical needs. Participate in team meetings regarding individual student care and school health programs. Maintain accurate documentation and uphold student confidentiality at all times.
