Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Deliver exceptional respiratory care in a healthcare environment as part of a skilled and dedicated clinical team. This contract position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on patient outcomes while working with state-of-the-art equipment and collaborating closely with medical professionals.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Successful completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist Thorough understanding of respiratory procedures, ventilation management, and patient assessment techniques BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams Prior experience in an acute care or hospital environment is highly desirable
Responsibilities:
Evaluate and treat patients with cardiopulmonary disorders following physician orders Administer therapies such as oxygen, inhaled medications, chest physiotherapy, and advanced ventilator support Perform assessments, document patient responses, and adjust care plans as needed Operate and maintain respiratory care equipment, ensuring accuracy and safety Participate in emergency interventions including resuscitation, airway management, and rapid response procedures Educate patients and families on respiratory health, equipment usage, and discharge plans Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
