Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract A rewarding contract opportunity is available for skilled respiratory therapists with at least two years of experience in respiratory therapy. This role offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment renowned for its commitment to quality patient care, operating a busy facility that serves over 300 patients daily. Your expertise will play a critical part in supporting adult and NICU populations as well as other complex patient needs.
Schedule/Hours:
Contract role with varied shifts as assigned Floating between multiple facilities within the region, with paid time for travel if floating mid-shift
Qualifications and Certifications:
Active RRT or CRT credential Current North Carolina licensure BLS and ACLS certifications required PALS and NRP required for Resource Team Proven competency in critical care, CVICU, NICU, ED, progressive care, and all floor therapies Familiarity with Servo ventilators (models I, U, Airs), Trilogy, ResMed AirCurve, HiFlow, Airvo, NOXbox, bubble CPAP Adaptability to float across region facilities, including both main hospitals and freestanding emergency departments
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver respiratory care for adult and NICU patients with a variety of acute and chronic diagnoses Utilize EPIC electronic medical record platform and advanced respiratory equipment Respond promptly to rapid changes in patient status within critical and progressive care settings Maintain high standards of documentation and patient safety at all times Collaborate closely with respiratory care leadership and a supportive multidisciplinary team Uphold department values focused on teamwork and patient-centered care
