Job Description
Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting students' growth and success as a part-time School Psychologist in a contract position. This opportunity, located near Matthews, NC, offers a chance to make a meaningful impact in educational settings by providing essential psychological services to students and collaborating closely with school teams.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's, Specialist, or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program Valid state-issued credential/certification for School Psychologists or eligibility to obtain Experience conducting assessments, interpreting results, and delivering interventions within school environments Strong communication skills for effective consultation with teachers, administrators, and families Commitment to upholding student confidentiality and ethical practices Familiarity with IEP processes and special education services is a plusResponsibilities:
Perform psychoeducational evaluations to identify students' learning and behavioral needs Develop, recommend, and help implement intervention strategies to promote academic and emotional success Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support individualized education plans (IEPs) and Response to Intervention (RTI) processes Provide short-term counseling and crisis intervention as needed Consult with teachers, parents, and administrators to create safe, positive learning environments Maintain documentation, reports, and timely communication according to school policies What's in it for you?
