Registered Ultrasound Tech - PRN

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Radiologist, the Ultrasound Technologist performs all required ultrasound procedures, utilizing independent judgment, initiative, and technical expertise to produce high-quality diagnostic images. This role includes responsibility for designated procedures and areas, ensuring patient care, safety, and accurate imaging outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, transfer, and position patients to ensure comfort and optimal imaging qualityPerform a variety of ultrasound procedures using sound technical judgment and skillEvaluate image quality and make necessary adjustments to ensure diagnostic accuracyProvide relevant patient information to the Radiologist for interpretationAssist with specialized ultrasound procedures as neededSupport and participate in the training of radiology studentsAdhere to sterile techniques and Universal Precautions at all timesClean and sanitize exam rooms and equipment after each procedureMaintain adequate supplies, including restocking linens and ultrasound gelPerform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
