Job Description
Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Radiologist, the Ultrasound Technologist performs all required ultrasound procedures, utilizing independent judgment, initiative, and technical expertise to produce high-quality diagnostic images. This role includes responsibility for designated procedures and areas, ensuring patient care, safety, and accurate imaging outcomes.Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, transfer, and position patients to ensure comfort and optimal imaging qualityPerform a variety of ultrasound procedures using sound technical judgment and skillEvaluate image quality and make necessary adjustments to ensure diagnostic accuracyProvide relevant patient information to the Radiologist for interpretationAssist with specialized ultrasound procedures as neededSupport and participate in the training of radiology studentsAdhere to sterile techniques and Universal Precautions at all timesClean and sanitize exam rooms and equipment after each procedureMaintain adequate supplies, including restocking linens and ultrasound gelPerform additional duties as assignedRequired Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent requiredRegistered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) certification requiredCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification requiredMinimum of one (1) year of clinical ultrasound experience required Work-Life Balance in a Stunning Location Located on the Western Slope of the Rocky Mountains, Delta offers an unmatched combination of small-town charm, affordability, and natural beauty.
