Job Description
Overview Join our veterinary team as a Registered Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant and become a vital part of providing exceptional animal care. In this energetic role, you'll support veterinarians by performing technical procedures, assisting with diagnostics, and delivering compassionate pet care. Your expertise will help ensure our animal patients receive the highest quality treatment in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures including animal restraint, catheterization, and laboratory testing. Perform dental cleanings, understand dental terminology, and support pet care routines. Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills, including dog training and equine and farm animal experience. Conduct diagnostic imaging such as X-ray procedures. Manage laboratory tasks such as sample collection, processing, and understanding animal physiology and anatomy for accurate results. Support critical care cases by monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing animal husbandry to ensure comfort and recovery. Maintain detailed medical records, and ensure a clean, organized work environment. Experience Previous veterinary technician, assistant experience or related animal care background is highly preferred. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and physiology is essential for accurate assistance. Hands-on experience with laboratory procedures, X-ray operation, and veterinary critical care enhances your ability to excel in this role. Strong dog handling skills, pet care expertise. Experience working with diverse animals including dogs, cats, horses (equine), or other species.
