Registered/Licensed Veterinary Technician (RVT/LVT/CVT)

Ideal Pet Care continues to grow to meet the growing needs of our community. We are a privately owned, full service, daytime, general practice in Richlands, NC. We are looking for a motivated, licensed, veterinary technician that shares a love for helping animals and their people to join our team and help elevate the level of patient care we can provide. We are looking for a candidate interested in full time employment. As a member of our team you will be responsible for helping provide the best possible care to each of our patients with a positive attitude and heart for client education. Your duties may include but are not limited to: Assisting veterinarians with medical and surgical cases. Overseeing and educating veterinary assistant staff. Client education and customer service. Patient care in appointments and in hospital. Answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling money, discussing treatment/product costs and payment for services. Prescription medication fulfillment with attention to detail. Animal restraint, collecting and processing laboratory samples (including drawing blood and collection fecal and urine samples), assisting with patient in-hospital treatments (including subcutaneous and intramuscular injections and IV catheter placement), anesthesia monitoring intra-op and post-op recovery, dental cleanings, general house-keeping and kennel cleaning and hospital upkeep, and assisting the veterinarian in the treatment and examination of canine and feline patients.

flexible work schedule with some Saturday morning coverage shared between staff and that is typically 4 hours, once monthly. Qualifications:

- Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology (RVT/CVT/LVT) and license in good standing in North Carolina. - Experience working as a Veterinary Technician preferred If you are passionate about providing exceptional care to animals, possess the necessary technical skills, and have a desire to work in a collaborative veterinary environment, we encourage you to apply for our position.
