Rehab Tech (Pt Tech)

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Rehab Technician (PT Tech) to support our rehabilitation and therapy teams. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient care, medical terminology, and anatomy, with experience working in hospital or outpatient settings. As a Rehab Tech, you will play a vital role in assisting physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to deliver effective treatment plans, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Duties Assist physical therapists during patient treatments by preparing equipment and supporting therapy sessions. Monitor patient responses and report progress or concerns to the healthcare team promptly. Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy areas, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use. Support patient intake procedures, including gathering relevant medical history and explaining treatment processes clearly. Help with the setup and breakdown of therapy devices, including modalities such as electrical stimulation or ultrasound. Document patient activities, progress notes, and treatment details accurately in accordance with hospital protocols. Provide compassionate patient service by addressing questions, offering encouragement, and ensuring comfort throughout therapy sessions. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to rehabilitation practices. Prior experience working in hospital or outpatient clinics, particularly within inpatient or post-acute care environments. Familiarity with orthopedic, geriatric, and sub-acute care settings to support diverse patient needs. Excellent patient service skills with a focus on compassionate care and effective communication. Ability to assist with intake procedures and understand hospital medicine protocols. Experience supporting patients with acute or chronic conditions requiring physical therapy interventions. Knowledge of outpatient rehabilitation processes, including post-acute care strategies for recovery optimization.
