Job Summary Responsible for inspecting and repairing damaged equipment in the Renovation Center. Utilizes hand and power tools to repair equipment. Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities Inspects and repairs damaged equipment, and identifies equipment that is non-fixable. Counts and assists in the assessment of equipment for damages. Loads and unloads rental equipment and supplies onto/off delivery trucks safely utilizing a fork truck. Utilizes hand and power tools such as hammers, drills, etc. to perform repairs. Cleans equipment and returns it to the appropriate rent-ready stacks. Removes old wood from frames and replaces with new wood. Measures, counts, and records equipment accurately. Adheres to established safety protocols. Performs other duties as assigned. Nature and Scope Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction. Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor. Deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor. Under close supervision, exercises limited latitude/independent judgment. Work typically involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior coworker and/or supervisor. Work Environment Typically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes. Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment that may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward. Education and Experience HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. Preferred Qualifications Experience using hand and power tools (drills, saws, impact drivers, etc.) Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs or refurbishment Familiarity with carpentry, woodworking, or construction materials Experience working with rental, construction, or industrial equipment Ability to assess equipment condition and identify repair needs Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety If you're looking to play a role in building America, consider one of our open opportunities.
