Job Title:
Renovation Technician Job Description This full-time Renovation Technician role focuses on interior apartment renovations, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and drywall work. You will work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., using your tools and technical expertise to complete high-quality interior renovation projects. This position starts as a temporary role with the opportunity to transition to a permanent position based on satisfactory performance. Responsibilities Perform interior apartment renovations, including tasks related to plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and drywall. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electrical systems, fixtures, and related components within apartment units. Install and repair appliances as part of renovation and maintenance activities. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete renovation tasks to a high standard. Complete plumbing repairs and installations as needed during interior renovation projects. Follow work orders, project plans, and timelines to ensure renovations are completed efficiently and on schedule. Provide courteous, customer-focused service to residents and onsite staff when performing renovation or repair work. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in occupied and unoccupied apartment units. Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members about project status, issues, and material needs. Participate in an on-call rotation after hire, being available for one week at a time to respond to after-hours needs as required. Essential Skills Demonstrated experience with interior apartment renovations. Hands-on experience in plumbing, including basic repairs and installations. Hands-on experience in electrical work, including troubleshooting and installation. Carpentry skills applicable to interior apartment renovation work. Drywall installation and repair skills. Ability to use a wide range of hand tools safely and effectively. Ability to perform appliance installation and repair. Troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving maintenance and renovation issues. Customer service-oriented approach when interacting with residents and staff. Ability to participate in an on-call rotation after hire for one week at a time. Capability to supply and use most or all tools listed on the Apartment Renovation - Interior Technician Tool List. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience working in multifamily housing, property maintenance, or similar environments is beneficial. Experience coordinating multiple tasks and projects within set timelines. Strong communication skills for working with team members, supervisors, and residents. Commitment to safety practices and proper use of tools and equipment. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and project needs. Why Work Here? The position requires you to bring and use most or all tools listed on the Apartment Renovation - Interior Technician Tool List. After hire, you will participate in an on-call rotation for one week at a time to support after-hours needs. The work environment involves hands-on, physical tasks such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, drywall, and appliance repair, with a focus on safety, professionalism, and respect for residents' homes. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntington Beach, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
