Reptile Educator

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and environmental sciences, with the ability to engage and inspire students of all ages. This role involves delivering educational programs and promoting awareness of animal welfare and environmental issues. Duties Conduct hands-on activities that involve animal handling, restraint, and care to enhance learning experiences. Facilitate discussions on topics such as herpetology and reptile husbandry to foster critical thinking among students. Collaborate with other educators to create interdisciplinary learning opportunities. Stay updated on current research in animal anatomy and care practices to ensure accurate information is shared with students. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Education, or a related field is preferred. Strong knowledge of reptile anatomy, care practices, and handling techniques. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. A passion for education, wildlife conservation, and fostering a love for learning in others. Pay:

$16.00 - $18.00 per hour Application Question(s): Are you willing to work with reptiles and invertebrates(tarantulas/scorpions)? Are you good with working with large groups of children?
