Residential Direct Care Woodshop Crew Leader

Woodshop Crew Leader The Woodshop Crew Leader duties and responsibilities include leading the Woodshop Crew, coordinating daily projects, and supporting the residents' recovery journey. The primary task is to assist the residents in their recovery process through purposeful work and meaningful involvement in the Farm Community.

Mill Spring, NC Schedule:

Monday - Friday 8 am to 5 pm

Pay:

Starting at $18.00 per hour and increases based on experience

Responsibilities:

Leads the woodshop program on campus Organizes daily tasks for the crew, and assists residents by demonstrating or educating them on how to properly and safety perform the tasks or use tools Understands and supports residents' recovery goals Collaborates with members of the residents' recovery team with assistance and if more support is needed Documents relevant information for the resident's electronic health record and/or communicates to the resident's team Supervisors and trains on the safe use of woodshop equipment Monitors and maintains equipment and supplies for the woodshop and woodshop crew Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work space Coordinates with other campus crews on large projects

Qualifications:

Education in a related field or equivalent life/work experience in woodworking required Significant knowledge of supplies, tools, and equipment related to woodworking Experience working with adults coping with mental health challenges At least 21 years old, current valid NC Driver's License with an acceptable driving record to be on company insurance CooperRiis is an equal opportunity employer.
