Job Description
Company Overview The Elmira Psychiatric Center Children Crisis Residence provides a short term (1-21 day) individualized family-centered, community-based, trauma sensitive, safe, and therapeutic living environment, to children with serious emotional disturbances. Responsibilities Provide leadership and support to subordinate staff. Create and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for residents and staff.
- Complete probation reports and annual performance evaluations Prepare and submit program reports as assigned, e.g. quarterly Medical Staff Executive Committee (MSEC) Reports, Governing Body, Performance Improvement Plan
- Maintain the Microsoft Access referral tracking database and complete screenings with prospective residents. Perform chart reviews to ensure all required documents are completed, dated, signed, and accounted for.
- Maintain required staffing patterns per part. 589 regulations.
- Attend and participate in assigned committee meetings.
- Monitor medication management as well as any changes involving medications or medical conditions requiring nursing interventions. Take the lead in the development of the initial service plan and all periodic reviews. Ensure all service plan objectives are measurable. Conduct admissions to the CCR on an alternating basis with the program social worker.
- Review and Sign off on Service Plans.
- Schedule In-Service training for CCR staff and maintain a folder of In-Service Training sign-in sheets.
- Prepare and participate in the triannual re-certification process. Collaborate with community providers and provide presentations on the CCR program. Report any urgent concerns to your direct supervisor, when needed, follow the supervisory chain of command.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
