We are a growing property management company covering four regions across Northern California with offices in Sacramento, Fairfield, Concord and Roseville. Our focus is on residential property management, primarily serving investors and owners of single-family homes. We are looking for a driven, self-motivated individual to lead property management activities at our office in Fairfield, CA. The Property Manager is responsible for providing clients with top-tier customer service and excellence in residential management services. Our team relies on this individual to demonstrate leadership and create trust with clients (both current and prospective), as well as our internal staff. The Property Manager instills confidence in our services by taking outstanding care of our clients and the properties we manage, in turn providing the greatest returns on our clients' investments. While also ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all residents. Legacy Property Management manages primarily single-family homes - this is NOT an on-site position. Property Manager skills and qualifications needed to be successful in this role: Strong Communication Skills Clear, professional, and prompt communication with property owners, tenants, and vendors. Ability to mediate, problem-solve, and resolve conflicts. Organizational Skills and Time Management Managing multiple properties, tasks, projects, and deadlines efficiently. Keeping accurate records for your entire portfolio. Highly detail-oriented with an ownership mentality Efficient time management of office work and fieldwork Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Ability to assess situations quickly and make sound decisions, particularly in emergencies. Creative in finding solutions to tenant, client, and property issues. Financial Acumen Understanding income/expense statements, rent collection, and expense management. Providing advice to property owners based on financial acumen and understanding of property management/investment. Knowledge of Property Law and Regulations Staying updated on landlord-tenant laws, fair housing regulations, and safety codes. Ensuring properties comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Customer Service Orientation Building positive relationships with tenants and owners with a heavy focus on Owner/Clients. Responding to inquiries and complaints with empathy and professionalism. 24-hour response time is required. Attention to Detail Ensuring contracts, inspections, and repairs are completed accurately and timely. Avoiding costly errors or oversights. Technical Skills Familiarity with property management software and tools. Computer competency. Basic understanding of property maintenance and repair needs. Adaptability and Resilience Handling the unpredictable nature of property management. Staying calm and professional under pressure. Team Player Willingness to participate in a highly collaborative environment. Ability to work with local team and remote team members. Hunger for Progress A passion for learning and a commitment to ongoing education. Drive to always be improving professionally and personally. Must have reliable transportation (this position will involve driving). 2 years of experience in residential property management is required. An active California Real Estate license is required.
JOB DUTIES
Owner Client Relationship Manager as the main point of contact Answer owner statement questions Owner Client meetings as needed Respond to clients in a professional and timely manner Marketing and Leasing of vacant properties Weekly vacant property status updates to Owner Clients by EOD each Wednesday Conduct Annual Investment Review process and Lease Renewal process with Owner Clients Lead and oversee the turnover process from move out to security deposit disposition to move in of new tenant Oversee the eviction process and advise Owner throughout the process Report weekly status updates to Senior Property Manager in 1-on-1 Occasional new owner meetings as scheduled by Rental Advisor Attend NARPM and Chamber of Commerce events What You'll Earn Compensation is structured as base salary plus a quarterly performance bonus — paid every quarter, not annually: $70,304 base salary $3,000/quarter bonus at target attainment
