$60,000-$80,000 Role Overview Desert Reef Hot Springs is seeking a high-caliber General Manager to lead day-to-day operations and set the cultural tone for a unique, boutique hot springs resort. This role is ideal for an experienced hospitality leader who is people-first, systems-oriented, and comfortable operating independently in a high-season, hands-on environment. The GM is the senior on-site leader responsible for operations, staff leadership, guest experience, and alignment with Desert Reef's values of kindness, professionalism, and community connection. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Culture Serve as the on-site leader and culture carrier for the property. Build a respectful, empathetic, and collaborative workplace culture. Coach, support, and hold team members accountable with clarity and fairness. Foster strong relationships with the local community and guests. Operations Management Oversee daily operations across: Tiny homes, airstreams, and van site accommodations Hot springs pools and sauna Massage program and guest amenities Front desk and housekeeping operations Ensure consistent, high-quality guest experience. Manage scheduling, coverage, and staffing levels, especially during peak season. Oversee maintenance priorities and property cleanliness (hands-on oversight, not sole execution). Systems & Administration Implement and maintain operational systems, SOPs, and reporting. Use and manage basic hotel and business tools (e.g., NewBook, Gusto, spreadsheets). Coordinate with ownership on budgets, performance, staffing, and improvements. Make minor website or offer updates as needed (baseline tech comfort required). Qualifications & Profile 2-5+ years of boutique hotel or hospitality GM experience (or equivalent senior leadership role). Strong operational judgment with a systems mindset. Calm under pressure; comfortable with high-season intensity and on-call expectations. Tech-competent (PMS, payroll, scheduling, basic admin tools). Strong communicator with guests, staff, and ownership. Local to the area or a strong cultural fit for the community preferred. Open to couples; housing or RV options may be available for the right candidate , but are not guaranteed. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $60,000-$80,000+ annually, depending on experience and local market. Flexibility for exceptional candidates.
