Job Description
Job Summary:
The Dining Room Assistant plays an important support role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and flow of the dining room. This position helps ensure that guests enjoy a comfortable and welcoming dining experience by assisting servers and maintaining dining room standards. This position is a hybrid role between a traditional busser and a buffet attendant who pivots between these two key responsibilities.Key Responsibilities:
Clear and reset tables efficiently between guest seatings. Coordinate with culinary team for replenishing food items on the buffet. Assist servers with delivering water and other service items when needed. Maintain cleanliness of the dining room, service stations, buffet tables, and guest areas. Transport dishes, glassware, and utensils to the dishwashing area. Restock service stations with necessary supplies. Support servers and bartenders during busy service periods. Assist with opening and closing side work duties.Qualifications:
Previous hospitality or restaurant experience preferred but not required. Strong work ethic and attention to cleanliness. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude and willingness to support team members.Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to perform tasks commonly associated with hospitality and event operations. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds when necessary. Ability to climb stairs and safely use step stools or ladders. Ability to bend, reach, and move efficiently within a fast-paced service environment.Schedule Requirements:
Employees should expect to work evenings, weekends, and holidays , particularly during busy service periods and events.Work Environment:
Duties will take place both indoors and outdoors during restaurant hours and events.Pay:
