Restaurant Host

Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Duties Greet guests upon arrival and escort them to their tables, ensuring a pleasant dining experience from the start. Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart to optimize table turnover. Answer phone calls with professionalism, assisting with inquiries and reservations while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette. Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction. Handle guest complaints or concerns with grace, striving to resolve issues promptly and effectively. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including the host stand and waiting area. Utilize POS system for take-out orders and cash register. Assist in other areas of the restaurant as required, contributing to a team-oriented environment.. Experience Previous experience as a Host/Host or in a similar food service role is preferred. Strong background in customer service, hospitality, or guest relations is essential. Familiarity with restaurant operations and experience in a fast-paced environment is beneficial. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective guest interaction. Experience with POS systems.
