On-Call Retail & Packaging Associate Erda, UT & Tooele, UT Thompson's Smokehouse Part-Time | On-Call Job Summary Thompson's Smokehouse is hiring a reliable, on-call team member to assist with retail sales and jerky packaging . This role is ideal for someone who is flexible, dependable, and able to step in on short notice when needed. What You'll Do Package jerky products quickly and accurately Help customers and provide excellent service Operate POS system and handle transactions Restock and maintain a clean, organized workspace Assist with labeling and order preparation Work at both Erda and Tooele locations as needed Schedule On-call / as needed Must be available for short-notice shifts Store hours:

Mon-Sat:

9:00 AM - 7:00

PM Sun:

11:00 AM - 5:00 PM More hours available during busy season (Oct-Dec) Qualifications Must be 21 years or older Proven reliability and strong attendance record Ability to work independently without supervision Strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Flexible schedule and willingness to work on short notice Comfortable working at multiple locations (Erda & Tooele) Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to stand for extended periods Repetitive hand movements (packaging and labeling) Nice to Have Previous retail, food service, or packaging experience Experience with POS systems Why Work With Us Family-owned business (50+ years) Flexible schedule Opportunity for more hours and growth Fast-paced, team-oriented environment
