Nursery Sales Associate - Sauder's Nursery, Malvern, PA (Chester County) Full-Time or Part-time Positions Available About Us Located in the heart of Chester County, our nursery and garden center serves homeowners, landscapers, commercial clients, and design professionals throughout the Main Line region. We're known for high-quality plant material, knowledgeable staff, and strong relationships with local contractors and wholesale accounts. We are seeking an enthusiastic Nursery Sales Associate to join our team. If you enjoy both customer-facing retail work and supporting professional landscapers and contractors, this role offers variety and opportunities for growth. Responsibilities Greet and assist customers—homeowners, landscapers, and contractor accounts—throughout the nursery. Provide informed recommendations on annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, evergreens, and houseplants. Offer guidance on planting, watering, soil needs, sun exposure, native plant varieties, and general garden questions. Maintain plant displays and stock—watering, pruning, rotating, organizing, and cleaning. Receive, unload, and stock plant shipments; tag, price, and merchandise new inventory. Use POS system for purchases, wholesale orders, returns, and account transactions. Assist with pickups, loading contractor vehicles, and coordinating delivery schedules. Maintain a clean, safe, and visually appealing environment for all visitors. Qualifications Experience in a garden center, nursery, landscaping company, or contractor-supply setting is a plus but not required. Strong customer-service skills with the ability to interact professionally with both homeowners and contractor clients. Basic plant knowledge—or a strong willingness to learn—especially regarding Mid-Atlantic plants and seasonal inventory. Ability to lift 30-50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Reliable, self-motivated, organized, and team-oriented. Weekend availability during peak seasons (spring, early summer, fall).
