Retail Sales Associate

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate/Floor Leader to join our Tennies ACE Hardware retail team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing sales transactions, and leading by example to ensure a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, retail sales experience, and the ability to supervise team members effectively. Familiarity with Hardware store operations are a plus. This position offers an opportunity to develop leadership skills while contributing to a vibrant retail environment. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or services Operate POS systems accurately for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits Upsell products and promote promotions to increase sales Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and stock levels Stock shelves and ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and inviting Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly Assist in the set up products and coordinate and schedule deliveries Supervise team members during shifts, ensuring adherence to store policies and high service standards Assist in training new staff members and supervising daily operations Ensure compliance with safety procedures and store policies Qualifications Previous hardware retail sales experience preferred Supervising or leadership experience is a plus Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math calculations Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer engagement Ability to perform product demos and upselling techniques effectively Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and inventory management practices Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail Basic math skills for cash handling and retail calculations Positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills and teamwork orientation Ability to stand on your feet for an 8 hour shift and ability to lift 40lbs. Ability to operate a forklift and unload freight trucks Required to have valid driver's license This position requires the ability to work days and nights with rotating weekends. Pay:

$16.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 48.0 per week
