Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic individual to join our team. This niche business can be technical with the products, so we need someone that can learn about the gear and procedures quickly. It is a fast paced job, where you will be doing many different tasks from helping customers in the showroom, shipping, labeling / organizing products, creating website product listings, and many other tasks around the shop. We are a small business of only 3-4 employees, where we all help out to keep everything running efficiently. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a combination of physical and clerical duties. Initially, the schedule will be Monday to Friday, with availability required for weekend shifts as needed. We are a small business so there will be many tasks associated with the job. We are also looking for help with marketing, so any experience would be a benefit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Accurately inventory, label and put away incoming shipments. Help customers in the showroom (and learn the gear quickly) Be able to proficiently work on a computer to create gear listings and keep the website updated (We use Apple / Mac's). This is more data entry/creating product listings, not coding or developer skills. Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized shop environment. Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with inquiries. Stay current with industry equipment, retail products, trends, and technologies.

Experience:

Kiteboarding / Watersports knowledge is a benefit. Many of the items are technical. Other watersports experience is also a benefit. Computer skills to be able to navigate through ecommerce (Shopify) platforms, email, and our vendors B2B systems. Strong attention to detail for accurate record keeping and inventory management. Excellent organizational skills to maintain a well-organized warehouse environment.

Qualifications:

Able to read and write in English. Basic to medium computer skills is required: emails, B2B systems, shipping software, e-commerce website work is part of the daily job. Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs and maneuver boxes and products, including going up and down stairs. High attention to detail and accuracy in counting. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with various individuals and departments. Ability to problem solve and make appropriate decisions independently. Flexibility to adapt to changing job requirements and acquire new skills as needed. Other operational tasks in the office as time permits.
