Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist - Retail Job Type Contract Provide pharmaceutical care within a hospital setting by ensuring safe and effective medication use, offering drug information, and managing medication distribution and control. This contract opportunity starts June 1st and involves working Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., including coverage every sixth weekend with alternate days off during the week.
Location:
Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster, OH Contract role based in Loveland, OH with potential for hospital assignment
Responsibilities:
Review, interpret, and accurately process medication orders and prescriptions Monitor patient medication therapy, ensuring therapeutic effectiveness and safety across age groups Maintain compliance with departmental policies, quality improvement programs, and regulatory standards Communicate drug information effectively to patients, families, and healthcare professionals Participate in emergency drug therapy management and ensure medication readiness Coordinate daily pharmacy technician activities to meet patient and organizational needs Uphold organizational values, including empathy, integrity, stewardship, agility, and teamwork
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science or Pharm.

D. degree from an accredited school of pharmacy Valid Ohio Pharmacy License in good standing required Minimum of one year hospital pharmacy experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with medical staff, patients, and colleagues
Physical and Mental Requirements:
Ability to exert up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and manage analytical, problem-solving, and communication tasks Comfortable working with electrical equipment in compliance with safety regulations This assignment offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to patient-centered care within a collaborative hospital environment.
