Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A retail pharmacy location in Burnham, PA is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager for a full-time, direct hire opportunity. This role requires proven leadership skills to oversee pharmacy operations while driving business growth and maintaining exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities include:
Collaborating closely with the store operations team to engage associates and communicate pharmacy and company strategies. Ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all prescriptions through Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance according to state and federal regulations. Managing the department to build profitability, increase prescription volume, and implement clinical programs including immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM) when available. Aligning team performance with key department metrics to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Supervising and coaching pharmacists and support staff while directing training and managing discipline. Maintaining pharmacy security and resolving customer questions or complaints to foster trust and loyalty. Interacting with healthcare providers and utilizing reference materials to address prescription-related issues. Overseeing inventory control, cycle counts, and will-call responsibilities to ensure timely completion of all pharmacy tasks. Keeping the pharmacy department clean and orderly while promoting continuous development and minimizing turnover.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree. Current, valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist License. Current Pennsylvania Immunization License. Strong leadership and communication skills. Proven experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
Schedule highlights:
Typically 10- to 12-hour shifts with variable day and afternoon hours, including hours such as 9am-7pm, 9am-8pm, or 8am-8pm. Approximately 62 hours bi-weekly.
