POSITION SUMMARY :
This position will perform revenue accounting functions and reconcile all revenue related areas to include Table Games, Slots, Cage/Vault, Soft Count, Bingo, Food & Beverage, Hotel, and Retail. This is a key, non-exempt position, subject to 24-hour scheduling and reports to the Revenue Audit Accountant.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
: 1. Associate's Degree in Business or Accounting. OR High School Diploma and AND completion of Accounting Principles I AND one (1) year related experience. 2. Must be able to learn Bank Secrecy Act requirements for Casinos. 3. Must be able to obtain a gaming license and maintain during course of employment. 4. Must be willing and able to learn hotel, point-of-sale and gaming systems. 5. Must have excellent math and superior spreadsheet skills (Excel). 6. Must possess a demonstrated knowledge of accounting. 7. Must have a working knowledge of business machines, i.e. personal computer, printers, fax, copy machines, etc. 8. Ability to plan, organize, set and meet priorities, strict deadlines and the ability to successfully cope with stressful situations and conditions. 9. Must present a professional appearance and demeanor. 10. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. 11. Must possess strong analytical, numerical, and reasoning abilities. 12. Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 13. Ability and willingness to take additional training is required. 14. May be required to work nights, weekends and holidays.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
:
  • Performs the revenue audit for the following: Table Games, Slots, Cage/Vault, Soft Count, Bingo, Food & Beverage, Hotel, and Retail.
  • Performs Title 31 audit.
  • Reconcile and recap cage, vault, soft count, revenue banks, comps and coupons to include investigation and resolution of variances.
  • Perform meter and variance analysis.
  • Recap and reconcile table inventory, fills & credits, jackpots, and tickets.
  • Documents and resolves possible problems, inconsistencies and variances.
  • Analyze slot statistical reports; variance in drop meter to actual, and variances in actual and theoretical holds.
  • Investigate any machines outside the required parameters for variances.
  • Documents and prepares audit files and reports.
  • Protect and distribute sensitive forms/documents as needed.
  • Prepares vault, table games, slots, food & beverage, hotel and retail journal entries.
  • Process hotel accounts receivable, payments and advance deposits.
  • Perform hotel "night audit" and balance hotel reports.
  • Generate customer statements, balance accounts receivable and resolve billing & credit card disputes.
  • Performs key log audit and maintains key log files.
  • Performs daily W2G audit.
  • Performs daily iSeries backups.
  • Cooperate with and participate in outside audits and prepare reports for regulatory agencies.
  • Adhere to all Audit and Accounting Policies, NIGC regulations, State of Michigan Gaming Compact, Casino Personnel Policies and Procedures and Departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
  • All other job duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
: 1. Continuously sit. Occasionally stand and walk, carry up to ten (10) pounds and lift up to forty (40) pounds. 2. Must be able to tolerate varying levels of noise, dust and/or smoke. 3. Employee must pass a pre-employment background check, physical and drug screen.
